Listed in Cox & Harvey (1907) as a baptismal font of the Norman period. The Victoria County History (Bedford, vol. 2: 1908) notes: "No part of the present building appears to be older than the first half of the thirteenth century [...] The font, which stands at the west end of the nave, is circular and quite plain, and though undoubtedly ancient is of uncertain date." The font consists of a plain cylindrical basin of vertical sides raised on a plain cylindrical pedestal base; the basin inner well has been reconstructed and lined; the square lower base and the round wooden cover are both modern.
