There is an entry for Bubwith [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://domesdaymap.co.uk/place/SE7136/bubwith/] [accessed 20 July 2014], but it mentions neither church nor cleric in it. There is no mention of a font in Glynne's visit notes ca. 1827. Described in Cox & Harvey (1907) as a baptismal font of the Perpendicular period with an inscription around the basin side [cf. Inscription area]
