Listed in Pérez Carmona (1974). Described in Bilbao (1996) as a baptismal font of the Romanesque period. Described and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla y León (2002- ) which points out the similarties with the fonts at Revillarruz and Villamiel de Muño; the basin is bucket-shaped and its sides are ornamented with thirteen horseshoe arches under a band of tablet motif; at the upper basin rim, a band of rope motif; some incised motifs in the spandrels; round base. The upper rim of the basin retains the two metal staples of the old cover at opposite ends. [NB: at the time of our visit in June 1999 the font was located in its 'normal' place, at the west end of the nave; it is now [June 2015] at the east end of the north aisle].
