Font Notes:
Described in Tyrrell-Green (1928) as a tub-shaped baptismal font of the Norman period ornamented with key-pattern. Noted in Rees (2003) as a font of a roaming workshop that produced also the font at Llangristiolus. Thurlby (2006) discusses its interlace ornamentation in the context of the fonts at Cerrigceinwen, Heneglwys, Llanbeulan and nearby Newborough, as well as the font at Llangristiolus. Thurlby (ibid.) also notes that the saltire motif on the Trefdraeth font "appears on three other Anglesey fonts: Llangaffo, Llechcynfarwy and Llanfair-yn-Neubyll". The cylindrical basin stands on a crudely rendered roughly cubic-shaped base. The wooden font cover is plain and round; modern.
