Described and illustrated in Walker (1887: 427 and ill on p. 429) as a crude basin roughly oval in plan with a smallish basin well has a flat flat bottom and no drain. Walker (ibid.) writes: "The bowl from St Fillans, I have been informed on credible authority, was used in the church there for at least two hundred years after the dawn of the Reformation. It at present stands within the fron t garden of the hotel at St Fillans."
