Described and illustrated in Walker (1887) as a font similar to the one at Restennet [cf. Index entry for Restennet], but this one is round rather than octagonal and has a narrower lower end, as if to match the cylindrical stem of the base which must have sustained it. The blind arcade around the basin sides has round shallow arches; the lower edge of the basin has a thick rope moulding all around, identical to the one at Restennet in the same position. Walker [cf. supra] also points out the curious shape of the drain channel, which widens out towards the bottom.
