Described in Walker (1887) as a "small plain circular bowl, with circular orifice [i.e., basin well] and side drain". His illustration (ibid., p. 406) shows a monolithic basin of vertical sides and hemispheric underbowl, totally plain; the "orifice", as Walker calls the inside well of the basin, is very shallow in relation to the bulk of the basin.
