The object reported as the former baptismal font from the old church of Dyce is not only "very singular-looking", as Walker (1887) described it, but also defies meaningful description as a baptismal font: it may have been originally somewhat cylindrical, with one side of the "basin" broken off, it appears to have a large drain hole, but it does not not go through -- was this a font?.
