Described in Walker (1887) as a baptismal font with a basin similar to the one at Isle of Whithorn [cf. Index entry for Isle of Whithorn], that is, square and with vertical shafts or mouldings at the angles; in this case, though, there is no base left at all. The inscription "AM" in a recessed panel, argues Walker, "are of later date than the font itself, which I take to be of early thirteenth century date." (Ibid., p. 385)
