Described and illustrated in Walker (1887) as an octagonal mounted font, probably of the late 15th century; the basin has plain vertical sides but the base sides curve in towards its middle and then widen out again at the lower base, always maintaining the octagonal shape. Walker reported the font as being of unknown origin and standing in the lawn of the mansion known as Rosehall.
