Described and illustrated in Pike (1989: 19-20) as a "medieval stoup [..] built into the old tower of Ballyhale Church [...] which is in fact the West tower of the Medieval Church of Kiltorcan. [...] It has nine Romanesque flutes in two tiers, with a staggered bottom tier. [...] Internally the bowl is cylindrical to the front face. There is no central drain." [cf. Index entry for Ballyhale No. 2 for the second stoup in this church].
