The bowl is small, only measuring 15 inches across, with a tall reconstructed bulbous pedestal and square base. The decoration encompasses the shallow bowl with a line of chevron in relief surmounted by a flowing chain. An inscription on the surface of the rim reads 'The Gift of William Vincent Rector Chirchad 1666'. The font is in use". Rowan (2003) comments: "set like a sundial on a turned baluster".
