Described and illustrated in Pike (1989: 33-34): "This font is said to be from St. Cronan's Abbey. It could be sandstone, being a brownish, yellowish colour. It is used as a Holy Water Stoup in the church porch but having a central drain it was probably originally a font. It has a reconstructed octagonal pedestal and base. The bowl is hemispherical and cylindrical internally. The relief carving is a continuous flowing pattern of vine with grapes. This design does not appear to be Medieval.
