Bond (1908) describes the font here as a Tournai font, and quotes Enlart (Manuel d'arch...) as source; Enlart (1902), however, has this font listed as an 11th-century, footless tub-shaped font ornamented "simplement de colonnettes allant du socle à la corniche". In a later footnote (ibid.) Enlart lists it among the unmounted rectangular fonts of the 11th century and, later still (ibid.) as a Tournai font with a 5-column base! Noted with comparison to other such fonts in Élisabeth Bail-Dhé's L'église Saint-Martin de Breuil-le-Vert, Bulletin du GEMOB, Beauvais, Groupe d'étude des monuments et œuvres d'art de l'Oise et du Beauvaisis, nos 96-97, 2000, p. 1-63. The font, as noted and illustrated in Drake (2002), is actually a square cube with round colonnettes at the angles; the sides of the basin are decorated with a rare symbol: a floriated cross with a Maltese-like cross at back on each side, as if added later; one side, however, shows the shadow of something that adorned that side; a coat of arms, perhaps? Wooden cover, flat and plain; modern.
