Church Notes: there may have been a church on this site since 450 AD; episcopal church first documented 730; re-built 1280-1325; destroyed 1662; present church is late-17thC with later modifications

The present font dates from 1478; it consists of a round shallow basin decorated with stylised ribbing below a torus-scotia; raised on a triangular figural scultural base incorporating three cherubs and three large scrolls; the basin is made of marble, the base appears to be limestone. No cover present.
