Described in Bilbao (1996). Noted and illustrated in Valle Barreda (2009). The entry for this church in the Enciclopedia del románico [https://www.romanicodigital.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/files/burgos_URA.pdf] [accessed 6 April 2023] notes and illustrates a font in the Romanesque style: "pila bautismal de trazas románicas (118 cm de diámetro × 85 cm de altura) colocada encima de un basamento circular de sillería. Consta de una basa con plinto y toro sobre la que asienta una copa semiesférica decorada con un bocel en la embocadura, gallones bajo arcos y hojas incisas en las enjutas." The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 6 April 2022] notes: "La pila es románica con arcos en relieve y base cuadrada con pie moldurado". Baptismal font of the Romanesque period; the hemispherical basin is ornamented with a blind arcade of round arches resembling ribs, with foliage motif in the spandrels; the squat base is round-to-square, with spurs at the angles; wide circular plinth. The upper rim of the basin still retains two metal staples from the old cover. No cover present but a metal staple in the upper rim remains from an earlier cover.
