Described in Bilbao (1996) as a baptismal font of the Romanesque period; the basin has ribbed sides with large rope-motif; the base is modern. This font is not mentioned in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla y León (200-2 ), although the photograph of the church interior in this source shows the font in place [obviously the Enciclopedia was not interested in noting a late font such as that one]. The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 29 January 2021] notes: "su iglesia, dedicada a San Pedro, Apóstol. Es gótica, [...] La pila, buena, es románica con sogueados en borde y subcopa, gallones y pie cuadrado (posee pila auxiliar.)" The present font is of an odd design and certainly not medieval; a large round basin with taperig sides decorated with ribbed pattern all around, a rope moulding below; raised on a quadrangular pedestal base that has an added basin on one side; 17th-18th century at the earliest? No cover present
