Described in Bilbao (1996) as a baptismal font of the Romanesque period. The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 30 March 2023] notes: "La pila es gótica con gallones en relieve bajo arcos y pie cilíndrico". The hemispherical basin is ornamented with a blind arcade and ribbed pattern below it; on a short circular base.
[NB: the Enciclopedia entry [cf. supra] mentions two other churches in the area, Santa Cruz del Tozo and Sasamón, both of which had parish churches, Iglesia de La Exaltación de la Santa Cruz and Santa María la Real respectively, without a mention of any fonts in them].
