GET EXT PIC https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:RedecillaDelCaminoSAM_7457.jpg Listed in Pérez Carmona (1974). Listed in Guerra (1986 c1978). Described in Cobreros (1993). Described and illustrated in Bilbao (1996). On-line notes: magnificent Romanesque font, one of the most striking and original in the area, and quite unique in its decor. On a base which has a cylindrical core with eight half-columns carved around it rests a large basin the total surface of which is covered in an intricate representation of a walled city [the new Jerusalem?] or large building; doors and windows are square with round arches at top, all organised in four floors and divided by several towers; between the levels several types of ornamental motif (braid, ball, romboid, zigzag) have been included, in thin bands. The rim has a double-strand interlace all around and retains the iron staples from the old cover, the removal attempt of which has resulted in damage at the upper sides. [NB: photographs taken of this font between July 2006 and November 2008 appear to show that there has been a refinishing and/or repairs carried out on the upper rim of this font]
