Described in Bilbao (1996). Illustrated in Valle Barreda (2009). The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed November 2022] notes: "La pila es románica, con cenefa vegetal y gallones y pie poligonal".
Baptismal font of the Romanesque period; the basin has a running acanthus vine below a roll moulding at the upper rim; ribbed underbowl; there is considerable damage to an area of the upper rim, now repaired in light-coloured cement; the damage may have been caused by a metal staple from an earlier cover; the octagonal pedestal base could be a later addition or replacement, perhaps from the 1630s re-building of the church. The wooden cover is round, flat and plain; modern.
