Described in Vélez Chaurri (1984). Described in Bilbao (1996) as probably a former child's sarcophagus re-used as baptismal font; it is roughly of oblong shape with rounded edges, almost oval, and ornamented with a rough arcade, two masks ["caratulas"] and a human figure. It has neither base nor plinth. The same author mentions that three of the sides are ornamented with roughly-done heads. Described and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla y León (2002- ) as a Romanesque baptismal font that was discovered in 1971 and is now [2002+] located at the west end of the nave, south side; it notes seven round arches, two of which contain human masks (one bearded, one clean-shaven), a third housing a human bust, all of which showing more the lack of skill of the carved than the antiquity of the work. The Enciclopdia… The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 7 August 2021] notes "la ermita del Santo Cristo del Barrio" but mentions no font in it.
