Described in Bilbao (1996) as a baptismal font of the Romanesque period, who gives the location in the 'sotocoro' [west gallery]. The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 3 July 2021] notes: "San Bartolomé, apóstol, es el titular de su iglesia [...] Described and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla y León (2002- ) as a baptismal font made of deteriorating red sandstone, with possible date circa 1200; the basin is somewhere between hemispherical and bucket-shaped, decorated with an arcade of twelve round arches on the sides and a moulding at the upper rim; squat circular base; the Enclopedia gives the location in a chapel off the nave, beneath the gallery [= "En el interior del templo no hay nada que nos remita al estilo artístico románico, salvo la pila bautismal, ubicada en una capilla que sobresale sobre el hastial de la nave. The wooden cover is round, flat and plain; modern.
