Described in Bilbao (1996). Valle Barreda (2009) as the Romanesque font from the earlier church; he gives the fonts at Moncalvillo, Palacios de la Sierra and Terrazas as stylistic cognates; also the fonts at Castrillo de la Reina, Eterna and Fresneda de la Sierra. Baptismal font of the Romanesque period; the basin is ornamented with a vine bearing fruit, ribbed pattern and horizontal braid; the round base has torsade pattern; the square lower base has arch motif on all sides. The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed March 2023] mentions two fonts in its church: "La pila es románica, con cenefa decorada y gallones y pie cilíndrico con molduras. (Hay otra con racimos de uvas)." [cf. BSI entry for Palacios de la Sierra No. 2 for the other medieval font in this church]
