Described in Bilbao (1996) as a baptismal font of the Romanesque period [cf. infra]; the basin is ornamented with faint weathered ribs; plain round base. [NB: there is no mention of this church in the entry for Padilla de Abajo in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla y León (2002- ) on account of the its date in the Gothic and Renaissance periods [cf. BSI entry for Padilla de Abajo No.1 for the Enciclopedia entry for the Romanesque ermita in this village]. The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 26 April 2022] notes: "Tiene su iglesia dedicada a San Juan Bautista y San Juan Evangelista y es renacentista"; the entry mentions no font in it.
