Described in Bilbao (1996) as a baptismal font of the Romanesque period. Described and partially illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla y León (2002- ); hemispherical basin plain but for a moulding at the upper rim; raised on a base of two levels: the upper level is square and has human heads at 90-degree angles, one with negroid features, another with chinstrap; Bilbao (ibid.) suggests their symbolism for the four rivers of Paradise; the lower base is formed by two thick roll mouldings and has spur-like ornaments at 90-degree angles: two are balls, one is a pilgrim's shell and the last has a spiral shape.
Noted and listed in ZáLeZ [http://zaleza.blogspot.ca/2012/05/interior-de-la-iglesia-de-la-orden-y.html] [accessed 8 September 2016]. No font cover present but there are two metal staples present from an old cover.
