Described in Bilbao (1996). Described and illustrated in Valle Barreda (2009). Baptismal font of the Romanesque period; the basin sides are decorated with a blind arcade, the arch-heads decorated with beaded tape and resting on columns with capitals; encircled Greek pattée cross under one of the arches; circular moulded lower base. The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 23 March 2023] notes: "Su iglesia está dedicada a Santo Tomás, Apóstol y es gótica […] On-site notes: one of the arches of the arcade has a Maltese cross inscribed in a circle; the other arches appear to be blank; hinges evident in the upper rim; some of the spandrels of the arcade have lovely triquetra motifs; there is some damage to the upper rim area of the basin; two metal staples from an old cover are at opposite sides of the upper rim but we found no cover present.
