Baptismal font described in Bilbao (1996). The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 23 March 2023] notes: "iglesia de base románica, muy reformada posteriormente, dedicada a San Miguel, Arcángel […] Baptismal font of the late Romanesque period; the basin is roughly hemispheric and has a rope moulding all around the upper rim; below it is a band of striated pattern; blind arcade of round arches on columns with capitals and bases all around; there is a peculiar set of holes in the spandrels of the arcade [they do not go through into the inner basin so they must be just decorative]; on a broad and squat lower base decorated with several details: graded moulding, zig-zag, round arch-heads and a thin rope mouldings.
