Described in Bilbao (1996). Noted and illustrated in Valle Barreda (2009). The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 22 March 2023] notes: "La pila es románica, buena, con gallones, cenefa superior con hojas y pie cilíndrico". Baptismal font of the Romanesque period much like many others in this area, and dated ca. 1200. The roughly hemispherical basin has a running acanthus vine between two narrow mouldings all around; a pattern of very broad and deeply-carved ribs [twelve?] below; the short pedestal base has a very large roll moulding at the top followed down by a narrower cylindrical stem; this base is quite possibly of a later date. [NB: not certain whether the interior is decorated with concave ribbing or not]
