Description in Bilbao (1996). Baptismal font of the Romanesque period probably post-1200; the basin is ornamented with a double moulding at the upper rim, and a blind arcade of fifteen worn round arch-heads all around the sides; the pedestal base is round and moulded. The wooden cover is flat and round, hinged in the middle. The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 21 March 2023] notes: "La pila es románica con arcos y moldura inferior rústica". [NB: this locality not to be mistaken with the town of Huérmeces in the province of Cuenca that has a similar font of the same period -- cf. BSI entry]
