Described in Bilbao (1996) as a baptismal font of the Romanesque period ornamented with ribbed patterns; human and grotesque heads at the interstices, as well as odd motifs resembling the human hand. Noted and illustrated in Valle Barreda (2009), who suggests a stylistic link between the fonts at Fuentelisendo, Hontangas, Moradillo de Roa [No.1] and Torregalindo; also to the one originally from Corcos, now in the church at Fuentelisendo as well. Valle Barreda (ibid.) suggests the font is of a late date with a style bordering on the Gothic. The entry for this church in the Enciclopedia del romanico [https://www.romanicodigital.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/files/burgos_FUENTELISENDO.pdf] [accessed 16 March 2023] describes and illustrates two baptismal fonts in this church [cf. BSI entry for Fuentelisendo No. 2 for the second font, originally from Corcos]: "Iglesia de San Pedro ad Vincula […] conserva en su interior dos pilas bautismales de tipología románica. The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 16 March 2023] mentions a Romanesque font in its parish church: "La pila es románica con gallones separados por cabezas y cenefa superior de hojas y pie con rosetas."
On-site notes: one of two large hemispheric-shaped ribbed fonts in this church; this one is the original font from the church at Fuentelisendo; the basin has very broad ribs with human (?) heads between the top end of the ribs; around the upper basin side, a vine of sorts; the short polygonal base is decorated with large inscribed rosettes.
