Described in Bilbao (1996) as a baptismal font of the Romanesque period. Described and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla y León (2002- ) [www.romanicodigital.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/files/burgos_CUZCURRITA_DE_JUARROS.pdf] [accessed 19 April 2021] the red sandstone basin is decorated with an arcade of ten irregular round arches; in the spandrels are circles, Greek and Latin crosses and a five-point star; raised on a circular base. No cover present. The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 19 April March 2021] notes: "San Román, mártir, es el titular de su iglesia [...] La pila es románica con sogueado en borde y arcos insinuados en copa y tiene base cilíndrica.
