Described in Bilbao (1996). Noted and illustrated in Valle Barreda (2009). The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 27 January 2022] notes: "la iglesia, dedicada a la Asunción de Nuestra Señora, es gótica [...] La portada es clasicista [...] La pila del agua bendita tiene pie renacentista que sostiene una concha marina"; it does not mention the baptismal font itself. Baptismal font of the Romanesque period; the upper rim has a roll moulding; below is a band of lozenge-shaped interlacing with inscribed flowers; the underbowl is ornamented with incised stylised fleur de lis motifs; the round base is decorated with six inverted arches; the square lower base has a bunch of grapes(?) at each corner. Some damage visible on the upper rim.
