Listed in Pérez Carmona (1974); in Guerra (1986 c1978). Frontón Simón (1994) traces the Silos influence on this font. Described in Bilbao (1996) as one of the baptismal jewels of the province: large bucket-shaped bowl has ribbed interior; the upper outer side has a beatiful interlace pattern all around; under it, an arcade containing: rampant lion; a siren with large teeth, the body of a bird and the tail of a reptile; a winged monster; Mary [identification questioned in Frontón Simón]; long-legged monster with reptile tail; another siren similar to the other, another such; another long-legged monster, six Apostles; it rests on a round plinth. On-site notes: concave ribbed inner basin indicates later date; evidence of metal plugs from an earlier cover in the upper rim.
