Described in Bilbao (1996). In Valle Barreda (2009). Listed and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del Románico en Castilla y León.
Baptismal font of the late-Romanesque or early-Gothic period; the sides of the basin have a band of double interlace with inscribed geometric quatrefoiled floral motif; the lower base has a diamond-shaped interlace, and a damaged motif (probably a face, head or mask) at each angle. The base has considerable damage, especially on the east side, and is broken through, hence the broad metal cinch that keeps it together; the damage on the opposite side, the west, has been repaired; this type of damage and its location suggests it was caused by the font cover hardware once in place at the upper rim. No cover present.
