Described in Bilbao (1996: 273 et al.) as a baptismal font of the Romanesque period; the regular, octagonal bowl has pronounced arrises; octagonal base. The entry for this town in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 20 July 2021] notes: "Tiene dos iglesias de las que utilizan solamente una [...] está dedicada aSantaMaríala Mayor y fue Colegiata, declarada BIC (Bien de Interés Cultural) en 1982 [...] la pila es gótica ochavada por fuera".
