Church Notes: originally the church of a disappeared monastery; practically destroyed in the 2nd Carlist War; re-built
Described in Bilbao (1996) as a plain square bowl, the underbowl in the shape of an inverted truncated pyramid; the base is probably of a later date. The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 29 October 2021] notes: "Su iglesia [...] dedicada a San Pedro, Apóstol [...] la portada es adintelada, románica [...] de finales del siglo XII, bajo pórtico abierto. Y la torre es una espadaña de corte románico"; no font mentioned in it.
