Noted in Hallbäck (1971). Described and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 920901F1] Skaragruppen as a baptismal font made of sandstone and dated in the second half of the 12th century. On-site notes: the font consists of a roughly cylindrical basin with a chamfered underbowl, raised on a round moulded base; the centre of the basin side has a band of palmettes, one up, one down, between two rope mouldings; on one of the sides, between the palmettes, are two facing lions passant; there is damage on the lower part, right between the facing lions. The Göteborgs stadsmuseum record notes a centre drain hole in the basin 2 cm in diameter and dates the font to the mid-12th century, attributing it to the Stenhuggaren Haraldus skola [original attribution in ??] [NB: another such font is listed in BSI as Kinne-Dedum No.2; it appears to be very similar but there are no animals on it -- *** the ImageSubform in this entry, No. 1, contains all the source and copyright information for images for both fonts -- *****it is possbile there may have been some transcription errors between the two fonts -- To Be Confirmed]
