Illustrated in Calderón Escalada (1971: p. between 40-41) as a baptismal font of the Romanesque period; hemispherical basin ornamented with a rope motif on the side and ribbed pattern or narrow arcade on the underbowl. The stem of the base is round and has a rol moulding on the upper end. It stands on a plain circular plinth. Described and illustrated in García Guinea (1979: 287) and (1996: [59]): rope motif right below the rim; narrow arcade with round arches, at least one of which contains a pair of Maltese-cross-in-a-circle, one up, one down; a thin moulding at the bottom of the underbowl; on a plain cylindrical pedestal base and a circular lower base, both plain. No cover present but damage at opposite ends of the upper rim speak of metal anchorings from an earlier cover.
