Like the font from Villaescusa de Ebro [cf. Index entry for San Martin de Elines No. 2], the hemispherical basin has two bands of saw-tooth motif framed between three rope mouldings (Garcia Guinea, 1979: 286, and (1996: [59]). Bilbao (1996: 70 fn9) suggests this font may be from the same workshop as the font at Crespos (Burgos prov.), and the fonts at Quintanilla de An, Revelillas, Ruijas and Villaescusa de Ebro (Santander prov.) The medieval font and a holy-water stoup are noted and illustrated in the Enciclopedia de románico [https://www.romanicodigital.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/files/cantabria_ESPINOSA_DE_BRICIA.pdf] [accessed 28 February 2023]: "La pila bautismal también puede asignarse a esta época [i.e., románica], con “dientes de lobo” en dos filas, separadas por sogueado. Está colocada sobre gran basa cilíndrica que sostiene un tambor también cilíndrico. La forma de la copa es casi de una total semiesfera. Tiene un parecido bastante próximo a otras pilas de Valderredible como las de Villaescusa de Ebro, Ruijas, Quintanilla de An, etc., todas ellas a base de talla de “dientes de lobo” en dos filas superpuestas sobre líneas poco resaltadas de baquetón sogueado. Mide esta de Espinosa 99 cm de diámetro; anchura del borde, 17 cm. Altura general, con basas: 100 cm. Altura sólo de la cuba, 60 cm. Una señal del basamento cilíndrico debajo del coro hace suponer que en otro tiempo la pila no tenía el emplazamiento actual. Existe además, en el interior de la iglesia, otra pila, esta vez benditera, de gallones excisos, y borde de bocel. Tiene forma troncocónica y apoya sobre basamentos prismáticos. Mide 53 cm de diámetro, con una altura de la cuba de 48 cm. El pie tiene 46 cm y la anchura del borde 5 cm."
