Described in Garcia Guinea (1979), and illustrated in the same author's later work (1996): the font is a hemispherical basin with upper vertical sides mounted on a cylindrical base; there is a large encircled potent cross on the side of the basin and an inscription above it: "SANCIUS ME FECIT". Noted in Múñiz López & García Alvarez-Busto (2007). Listed and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico [https://www.romanicodigital.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/files/cantabria_LA_COSTANA.pdf] [accessed 28 February 2023]: "La pila bautismal, románica con seguridad, es semiesférica, y muy interesante por llevar debajo del bocel de laembocadura el nombre de su autor –SANCIUS ME FECIT– con letras de la época, y una cruz patada, inscrita en círculo. Medidas: 92 centímetros de diámetro y 84 de altura."
