Described and illustrated in García Guinea (1979: 290) and (1996: [59]). Noted and illustrated in the Enciclopdia del romanico [https://www.romanicodigital.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/files/cantabria_SOBREPEÑA.pdf] [accessed 23 February 2023]. Stone baptismal font consisting of a roughly hemispherical basin decorated with rope motif below the upper rim moulding; below, row of circles containing Maltese crosses and 6-petal floral motifs inside circles; farther down, on the underbowl, a blind arcade resembling a concave-rib pattern; on a plain pedestal base, round with a expansion on the lower base. The wooden cover is round, flat and plain; appears modern.
