Listed and illustrated in BALaT KIK-IRPA [https://balat.kikirpa.be/object/10147823] [accessed 24 February 2023] as a baptismal font of stone in the rieuré Notre-Dame de Jéricho à l'Ermite, dated 1101-1200; the basin is mounted on a modern replacement base; the entry, however, adds that it has been deemed suspect by two scholars: Le comte J. de Borchgrave d’Altena, in 1970, and Jean-Claude Ghislain, in 2021: "Selon M. Jean-Claude Ghislain (communication écrite du 25 février 2021), l’œuvre est suspecte, pour ne pas dire fausse. The style of the basin decoration, though somewhat representative of the Romanesque styles used on many such fonts, is rather unusual in the detail, giving thus the appearance of a later work 'in the manner of', a pastiche of motifs, confirming the opinions of both authoritative scholars noted above.
