Noted and illustrated in Tynell (1913). Noted in Rydbeck (1936). Described and illustrated in Carlsson (1976: 88-89 and pl. 93) as a cylindrical mounted baptismal font of ca. 1170; an incised inscription around the upper rim side looks uncouth and may well have been added later; the basin sides are ornamented with large leaves and palmettes. The base is also cylindrical, though thinner and has large heads at 90-degree angles; one of them is described in Carlsson (ibid.) as "a man wearing a belt of strength (type II) puts his upper body into the mouth of an animal head which he grips by its ears [...]. It is placed here as one of the four sculptured figures of the base of the font." Carlsson also (ibid., p. 91) refers to another motif on the base, that of "men pulling their moustache." Noted in Nordström (1984). Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 900716F3] as a 'Mårtensgruppen' baptismal font made of sandstone in the second half of the 12th century. The baptismal dish in use was made of copper in the 17th century.
