The entry for Mheer in the DBNL [https://www.dbnl.org/tekst/schu211marg01_01/schu211marg01_01_0014.php] [accessed 17 February 2023] mentions the presence in the courtyard here of a fragment of the baptismal font from the old church: "Doopvontfragment. Op de binnenplaats een doopvontfragment, afkomstig uit de oude kerk"; it cites "Nedermaas 1938-'39, 91" as source. The same DBNL entry [cf. supra] describes the present font in use in the church as one of sandstone and marble, decorated with a scene of the Baptism of Christ, the Four Evangelists' symboles and other motifs; modern, of 1885: "Vont van zandsteen, wit geverfd, eikehouten deksel, hoogte 59 cm, door Fa. Billaux Grossé, Brussel, circa 1885. Voetstuk bestaande uit vierkante grondplaat, overgaande in een achthoekig geprofileerd voetstuk; schacht samengesteld uit vier kolommetjes van gepolijst zwart marmer; achtkantig geprofileerd bekken met op de opstaande zijden in reliëf de vier evangelistensymbolen, afgewisseld met bloemen en banderollen. Op het deksel gesneden groep van de Doop van Christus door Johannes in de Jordaan. Soortgelijke doopvonten in: Catalogus Billaux Grossé, Brussel, oktober 1921, cat. 175, 25: nrs. 525, 526." Also in the same source is mentioned a holy-water stoup of 1694 wallmounted in the tower wall: "In de torenmuur is een hardstenen wijwatersbak ingemetseld, waarin het jaartal ‘1694’ is gehakt."
