Tynell (1913-1921) informs that the font in the local inventory bearing no. 1830 is actually for a wooden font of 1647. and reports that there was no medieval font in this church at the time. The present font was made of wood in 1647, as testified by an inscription in one of the side panels; it consists of an octagonal basin decorated with the above-mentioned inscription and seven other panels bearing Biblical scenes, from both the Old and New Testaments; it has human busts on pedestals at the corners; four standing figures support the basin on their heads and there is also a central pillar as support; the lower base is octagonal; the font is painted all over. No cover present but there is a metal baptismal dish in use, and a tester-like canopy above the font. [NB: we have no information on the medieval font here].
