Described and partially illustrated in Bilbao (1996). Noted and illustrated in Valle Barreda (2009). Baptismal font probably of the late Romanesque period; the large bucket-shaped bowl has the characteristic garland around the upper basin side; below, pointed gothic arches contain a stork, a rampant griffin, another stork with open wings, a human figure with arms akimbo, a woman with head-dress, a figure with hands on the head, one winged siren, another such; the basin rests directly on the ground. On-site notes: crude work; the rim has a roll moulding all around and an incised line on the upper surface of the rim; below it is a band of four-petal flowers inscribed in circles; a series of pointed arches house the motifs named above; the font is in an appalling state of repair, and its location inside the narrow sacristy makes it very difficult to identify -much less photograph- the motifs at the back properly.
