Lübke (1870) notes a metal font of the late Romanesque period in this church. Bronze font illustrated and dated in Pudelko (1932) to the second half of the 14th century. On-site notes: chalice- shaped with a rather shallow basin -when compared to Trier's and Hildesheim; there are four small lion heads at 90-degree angles on the upper rim, which is plain and sharply cut; the basin sides have fine foliage motif and the upper band, just below the rim, has an inscription all around; there is another inscription on the underbowl chamfer; the base has a central shaft that resembles a drinking glass stem, plain and slender, tapering out to a width to match the basin's at the very bottom; there are four slender figures who support the basin on their shoulders, while their feet rest on narrow foot-stools which connect to the lower base; some of their hands are missing; some hold closed books; each figure is individualised in the rendering but there are no symbols nor are the figures haloed. The whole font has a very light and elegant design. Tall wooden cover of the early-17th century (?) with dedicatory (?) inscriptions in German on some of the cartouches that adorn the sides of the lower volume; suspended by a pulley syem from the ceiling of the south transept where the font is located.
