Noted and illustrated in Mackeprang (1941) in his chapter on 'arkadefontene'. Described and illustrated in Danmarks Kirker [http://danmarkskirker.natmus.dk/uploads/tx_tcchurchsearch/Ringkobing_2941-3104.pdf] [accessed 7 January 20223], as a baptismal font of the 'jyske arkadetype', made of reddish granite, 88 cm tall, and 67 cm wide at the top, with a drain hole 5 cm wide; raised on a trapezoidal base 41x41 cm; details of the varied decorative elements are given in the DK, as well as th transcription of the Latin inscription on it: "†IN NOMINE PATRIS † ET FILII † ET † SPIRITUS † SANCTI"; in the nine arches below the inscription is a scene of the Fall of Man, an Agnus Dei, a deear chased by a dog, a nasty-looking devil, and a large processional cross; the DK notes also that the font had been covered in oil paint but was later cleaned; the DK source also notes the cover/canopy made in 1656 by Jutland master Christen Jacobsen (restored after 1973), as well as a baptismal dish also of the 16th century; DK notes that the font was moved to the south side of the chancel arch and raised on a new granite plinth in the 1958 renovations to this church. Nordstrom (1984) notes the Fall of Man scene on this font.
