Font Notes:
Described in Åke Nisbeth's Kyrkan i Lillkyrka (Linköpings stiftsråds kyrkobeskrivningskommitté, 1963) as the fragment remains of a medieval baptismal font; the basin fragment appears to retaing the Adoration of the Magi scene; the base has figures identified as the Virgin Mary, St Peter, a bishop and probably St Nicholas. Noted and illustrated in Marian Ullén and Sune Ljugstedt (Sveriges kyrkor, 2003:)
as a fragmentary font of Gotland sandstone; the basin contains scenes of the Adoration of the Magi, Dream of the Nagi, Flight to Egypt and Lord's Supper; on the base there are four figures identified as: a bishop, Madonna and Child, Abraham and the souls, and a bearded figure; all badly damaged and eroded; the fragments of the basin had been discovered built into one of the chancel portal, whereas the base was found in the churchyard. The font in use is modern, 20th-century, made by Paul Kedelv; it is a star-shaped pedestal made of glass bricks; described and illustrated in Svenska Kyrkan [www.svenskakyrkan.se/akerbo/lillkyrka] [accessed 24 December 2014]: "dopfunten som specialtillverkades på Reijmyre glasbruk av konstnären Paul Kedelv under 1900-talet. Den består av 24 block i blykristall och väger cirka 120 kg".
