Noted and illustrated in Hallbäck (1969) as a baptismal font of sandstone, one of Halland's strangest, dated to the late-12th century, believed to have been made by a stone mason trained in England. Only a fragment of the basin survived, the sides of which show figures [cf. infra]. The lost upper part was finiashed in 1937 with cement. Nordström (1984: 64) identifies Jonah on this font. Lidén (1998: 72) argues against the identification of this figure as St. Olav. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 920501F1] as a baptismal font made of sandstone in the secod half of the 12th century; only the lower half approx. remains of the square basin; the drain hole is plugged with cement; the pedestal base is also a later addition. No cover present. Sonne de Torrens (BSI) notes on the basin side with three seated persons: Traditio legis [early Christian iconographic motif of Christ distributing the New Law to the apostles: Paul --> Christ --> Peter with key] -- the SHM caption, however, reads: "biskop med två flankerande gestalter"; two of the other sides have a trio of angels standing (one of the angels in one of these two scenes carries a censer); the fourth side has a boat in the water with four figures in it [cf. Nordström supra]; the basin underbowl is almost flat but does have a graded moulding.
